Required Permissions

Tab Guardian requires several browser permissions to function properly:

tabs

Used to access and manage your browser tabs, including locking, monitoring activity, and applying privacy protections.

storage

Used to save your preferences, password, and tab history locally on your device.

Used to schedule automatic tab decluttering and periodic security scans.

Your password is secured using the SHA-256 hashing algorithm, ensuring it is never stored as plain text. All local data is protected by your browser's built-in security measures.
